Hi, Tina - Welcome to Groupsites!

If you haven't discovered these answers already, I did want to follow up:

• Yes, each member can upload a profile photo. Here's a link that will show you how: http://champions.groupsite.com/post/user-tip-how-to-upload-your-photo

• Each Groupsite has a blog and Managers can set permissions so only managers can post to the blog, or all members can post to the blog. This is done from the MANAGER>Group Settings>Permission Controls area. When a member creates a post, they are identified as the author.

While this is a group blog, the 5 most recent actions a member has taken in a Groupsite will show up under their profile -- including when they write a blog post. Managers also have ability to spotlight featured or recent blog posts using content modules.

• Yes, you can add your website (along with emails, phone, street address, etc.) under the "Professional Contact" and blog under the "Social Contact" area of your profile. This is done from the MY SETTINGS> My Profile section. Visit this link to see how: http://champions.groupsite.com/post/how-to-update-your-personal-contact-information-in-a-groupsite.  This data will appear as "Personal Information" toward the top of the page when others view your profile. 

Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, Skype or other non-standard fields can be added exactly as you've done - through a custom profile element. These elements are entirely visible from your professional/social Profiles pages -- although I can see how it would be nice to accommodate custom/additional contact fields in the "Personal Information" area.

• Adding custom elements with a text box or video does not remove your 'group specific questions'
  

• To transfer members: Groupsites allow you to invite members to your Groupsite via email invitations. You can paste in a list of email addresses during the invitation process. If you have other ways to promote your new Groupsite, also consider membership settings that "allow anyone to join" or for "by approved request." With these settings, your NING network of members will be able to go join - no invitation required.
