Cannot Alter Filters in Recent Activity

I'm having the same problem across all browsers.  It's a little schizophrenic about what it will update and what it won't, but whatever it is, the filters aren't working as they should.

The two issues are completely unrelated.

I'm having the same issue Sanjay discribed. It seems to only happen to the wide module of Recent Activity on the Summary page. Filter 2 reverts back to match Filter 1. I'm going to check to see if someone mention this somewhere else, but I also can't get a Recent Activity module to work in the sidebar (just doesn't show up when I create it, and then I can't delete it).

Now that it's fixed, I'm wondering what these filters do. I changed ours and saw no difference.

I couldn't see the Filtering either. The above problem is fixed, the actual Filtering is not working. Items in the Recent Activity are not Filtering as expected. No difference in the Items before and After Filtering.

I'm sorry to say, but I can't really reproduce filters just plain "not working".

What we do have, currently, is an open issue where filters are dropped when clicking a previous, next, or individual page link.  Other links may also exhibit the same behavior.

I'll paste some screenshots demonstrating a working filter:

AH! I think I finally get it! The filters affect the tabs listed across the header bar under RECENT ACTIVITY. I was looking for changes when showing the ALL category, and I didn't even notice a change in the header bar. I may be way off, but perhaps it would make more sense to call the filters "tab options" or something like that? Am I the only one who wasn't "getting" it?

And, yes, I see that the page reverts to the ALL category when you try to go to the next page of items.
