Permissions Issue for creating Topics

Hi - my groupsite is www.expocadcommunity.com. I have permissions set to Only Managers for Creating Forums. However, when a member tries to add a topic in that forum, they get an error. If I set it to all members, then they can post topics. Please advise.

Bridget - I am not sure I understand what is happening - today, we have 2 ways you can control permissions as it relates to discussions in a Groupsite.
1. Since you have purchased our Premium Permisson Controls feature, you can control who has the ability to create new Forums (choice is "Allow all members" or "Only Managers") this is selected under the "Manager" tab then select "Permission Controls".
2. Additionally, as part of the Premium Permission Controls feature, as a manager, you can make any Forum "manager access only". Do do this, roll your curser over the Forum title and you will see the word "edit" appear to the right of the title (not-intuitive, I know, but we are fixing that). Select "edit" and you will see

Prevent non-managers from creating topics
Checking the first box auto-selects the second as well.
Checking the second box is a way to lock down a forum when you feel conversations have run their course our you wish to archive the Forum.
I hope that helps and please let me know if something different is happening for you.
Thanks,
Shaun
