Can't use "basic editor" via Firefox 3.0

I just updated Firefox to Firefox 3.0 and now find I cannot use the "basic editor" to create posts in CollectiveX discussions -- I have had to switch to IE to do so.
I have Javascript enabled in Firefox 3.0.
