Unapproved members and no 'Source' listed anymore

I've got people joining the groupsites at will even though the setting is By Request or Approval, and the listings under 'Source' are missing in Manage Members. Coincidence?

Can you tell which Groupsite you're experiencing this under? In our view, we're seeing valid "Source" entries for every single user that is signing up.
Two that I know of:
washingtondc.collectivex.com
gearfactory.collectivex.com
...and otgaithersburg.collectivex.com
Can you let me know if the 'Source' data is still being entered and kept in the database and that it's just not displaying, or if the 'Source' data is completely gone. The reason is I have several groupsites that require the use of this feature to provide credit to people who refer new members, and if I'm not able to record that through the system, especially new members joining this month, I need to know now to start figuring out how to do this manually before it's too late (ie literally asking each new member how they were referred, which is a major chore, and somewhat intrusive).
