Cannot Embed Widgets to Sidebar

Hi, Sanjay.  I just successfully added a Twitter widget to the sidebar of a test Groupsite.

I chose the "Embed Widget / Video" module, pasted in the code, and clicked "continue." I received a message stating that there was no scalable widget found, and then clicked "Add Module."  The title of the module appeared and then the full module (with feed) displayed when I refreshed the page.

If that process doesn't work for you, please send your embed code to us at support@groupsite.com.  We can't be responsible for third-party code (which may be the problem), but we'll take a look to see if there's anything obvious about why it won't work.

I succeeded with Twitter as well but failed with facebook widget. Is it not supported on groupsite?

Hi Diana,

My Twitter sidebar widget has stopped updating.  I think it happended some time yesterday.  I removed the widget and reentered al new embed code, but it is still not updated.

Hi Dan,

Are you finding your Twitter widget to be working properly?  I visited your page and it looks like the last update was 7 hours ago.  It's possible Twitter had a temporary issue.

If it's behaving differently than it used to in your site , let us know.  Because it's third-party code, we don't support the widgets or code themselves. But if it doesn't work like it used to, you may want to check with Twitter to see if there's an issue on their end. I can also ask our technical team if there were obvious changes on our end that may have affected this.
