Can't unsubscribe from a discussion

I have subscribed to a forum on my groupsite, but I can't seem to unsubscribe from a discussion within that forum. Is that not possible, or is it a bug?

Hi, Liza. When you subscribe to a "forum," you are subscribed to all of the topics in that forum. The alternative is to subscribe at the "topic" level, selecting only those in which you're interested.
Also, when you make a reply to a topic, you will automatically be subscribed to that topic -- unless you have changed your default settings for this in the "MY SETTINGS > My Preferences" area.
