"Re-invite All" is broken

I hit re-invite all. It prompted me for which message to use. I snipped off the part of the title that says "on CollectiveX". I made a minor text change to my default message. I hit submit. The result was a plain white page with the following words (not exact words) on the top in black: "You have successfully re-sent all invitations". I was suspicious and when I went back to the pending members page the invite date had not changed for anyone and did not receive an invite in a dummy account I set up

Maybe I should change the message for that: re-invite all actually _queues_ up messages for sending them.
We don't actually want to send 10,000 mails before we return status to your browser, because that's not very scalable.
So maybe I'll just change it to say: Your invitations will be re-sent within the next few minutes.
It can take up to two minutes for the resending to begin, and depending on how many invitations there are to send, it can take longer to actually send them.
Also, finally, it doesn't look like we are actually updating the "Sent At" date for the invitation when we do Reinvite-All.
If you still have not received your dummy invite, let me know and I'll look into it.
You used to update send at as I have used it before. I still have not received the Dummy invite from myself. The key here is that the result was a plain white page. There was obviously some error.
You're absolutely right, it used to do it. When I rewrote it for scalability I forgot to add that step.
The part that says "You have successfully re-sent all invitations" is the way it's supposed to work, so it shouldn't be a problem there.
I'll look into this for you. Which group was this for, so that I can look up the re-invite all records?

Sorry this took so long for me look at Jonathan. I was busy with the new release (domain names) and other issues. I'm working on this right now.
In the next few moments, we're releasing an update to the site that should take care of the remaining issues w/ Reinvite All.
Let me know if you still see problems w/ it.
Okay, everything seems to be working fine with this now so I'm closing the bug.
Let me know if you see any problems.
Does this also take care of updating the "sent" field in the "pending members" list, and if it does is it retroactive (meaning will it reflect the dates from the last time I used it while it was broken)?
It does care of the sent field, but it's not retroactive.
That'd be slightly trickier, but I can take care of that after we release the statistics package.
The old data technically doesn't exist, but I can synthesize it. Basically, if an unused invitation's Sent field is not later than the most recent Reinvite All action (which is not earlier the creation of the invitation), then I'll set the sent field to the completion date of that latest Reinvite All action's mailing.
This is still broken.
After I sent it I was prompted a second time to create an invitation message. Also, the invitation sent dates in my pending member list have not changed.
Jonathan,
This is working properly. The sent field is not updated until the invitation is actually sent. It is not sent right away. It is queued up and sent later.
I can see from our records that all of your pending invitations were pulled off the queue and sent out before you had even finished posting this message. Your request was created at 11:02 and was finished at 11:05. Just be patient when using ReinviteAll. Just as an FYI, some folks have tens of thousands of emails to send, and their emails will take even longer than three minutes.
I hope this clears things up!
Thanks Joe.
I guess didnt know what the expected behavior was. Still, you should check on the first issue here. I should not have been presented a blank invitation message window after having submitted the re-invite all.
I'll fix the blank window. You should definitely get a nicer response than that.
