Hello all.
When I want to italicize using html the <i> tag no longer works. In fact, it is treated like a tag that I invented and hides all text in between.

Hey Jonathan,
The people that designed our stylesheet initially were masochists and they hid the I tag from the world.
I hate them for that.
You can use <em> instead though.
I would've changed it already, but I've found some lurking places in the code where they actually output hidden text with I tags and I'm afraid that there may be others. When I have time to look for it, I'll eradicate any of these spots and update the stylesheet.
Hey Jon,
I'm gonna start fixing these issues soon, because we need to move to a WYSIWYG editing system, and part of that means having reasonable defaults for everyday tags like I, UL, OL, etc.
I takes two seconds to change the stylesheet, but finding all of the parts of the site that will now be rendering incorrectly is a tedious matter. Easy, but mindnumbing and potentially time consuming. The I tag should be mostly unused on the site, but I know we're using UL, OL, etc. in various places and probably depending on the default style. Some genius decided that OL tags shouldn't use numbered list markers _by default_.
These are fixed now: italic rather than invisible
