Search (Not working again)

Today I tried to use the search feature (top right of page) to search for "Everything" and "Discussions". I searched for very common words recently used in popular topics, but after waiting a long time, it stopped with some error message, like "try another search word". Possibly its running slow or is having a time-out problem. Please advice when this can be fixed and back to normal.

Michael - We are aware that search is having issues. We have a support ticket in as we try and stabilize the underlying code. Thanks for pointing it out and we hope to have it back up soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Search is back up - anything that was added the in the past 10 days may not be present in search results. This is temporary and we will let everyone know once it has been resolved.

I just tested it and it's working again.

I noticed Joe said search is back up, but it has still been down for all my groups.
Any new updates since April 8?
Stephen - Search is currently down for everyone. This is our top priority and we look forward to having it up for good very soon. We had been experiencing unexplained random performance issues with search and made the hard decision to take it off line on purpose to get to the bottom of the performance issues so that when we bring it back it is rock solid. We know this presents a great inconvenience and we can't wait until we finally finish the job.

Avi - We are on the final steps and should have it back up shortly. Please know that it adversely effects are ability to make things happen as much as it impacts you and we are also feeling the pain. It has a very high priority but is not the only ball we have up in the air right now.
We will send out a system-wide message as soon as our beloved search is back on the job.
