Subgroup Side Bar Modules?

Is it not possible to add a module to the main page of a subgroup? I would really like to be able to "highlight" discussion topics on a side bar, so that they do not become "lost" after they are no longer active. We publish how to videos in subgroups, and they are not necessarily active topics, but we would like newbies to know they are there.

Although you can't (yet) add modules to a subgroup, the discussion topics are always displayed on the subgroup's main page.

If the discussion topics do not "favor" highlighted topics (bringing them to the top of the list), then this is an oversight that we can easily correct.

I still don't see the ability to add side module or any other module on this page.  I would just like to be able to add text on there to mention stuff about the groups..  I can't seem to do anything on this page!!!!

Jeff, you are correct - subgroups don't offer content module functionality.

What you can do is add text or other content to the home page of the subgroup. This is done from your subgroup's Administrative area.

Access the "Admin" area by going to MANAGER > Group Settings > Subgroup Controls. Click the name of the relevant subgroup, which will bring up the "Admin" page for that subgroup. You can add content to the subgroup's Home page in the "Additional Home Page Content" area, using our text editor.

This is a way to add text to the page, which may help, although I realize it may not be all you're looking for.

Hi Diana,

Can I not "add module" in the subgroup I create? For example I want to create new blogs, freeform next, "This subgroup consists of..." etc in the subgroup. Also I want to add some of the content from the mainsite into this subgroup. How do I do it?

Currently I notice only "Start Discussion" and editing the copy on the homepage of the subgroup through text editor in the admin login. Are these the only things I can do in the subgroup? Or am I missing something

Let me know what additional functionalities I can add in the subgroup.

thanks
