Some HTML included in the configurable "Summary" page forces large line breaks

I use html in my Summary page in order to better format the messages that appear there. When I use <table> tags for some reason your system adds extra <p> tags that cause several undesired line breaks prior to the table. I would be great if this could be fixed as it makes my summary page not look as good as it should.

The best thing to do when you want to put verbatim HTML, is to surround it with this:
This prevent the "textilization" process from mucking with the HTML at all.

I recently added this tip to the bottom of the "Advanced Options" in our formatting tips.

Ok, I am using it. Its a little "quirky" because while it does prevent the addition of breaks it also takes out the common styling. I actually want the common styling because it keeps my edits looking consistent with the overall styling.

The only thing I am trying to prevent is the line breaking. Consistency with the overall colors, fonts, and sizes etc should be something that I could optionally decide to adopt.

Textilization is something that we'll be dropping soon anyway. Sorry about the "this". I typed it it in without realizing I should've wrapped it too. :) It was late.

Thanks Joe.
When you say you will be "dropping textilization" what does that mean? How will that effect my current content?

Sorry, I should've been more clear.

One of our goals is to move to a more "WYSIWYG" content editing system. Existing content will remain, but new content will use that new WYSIWYG system.
