Hi,
Has anyone experienced these issues?
- on my summary page I am unable to delete modules
- on my summary page I am unable to edit some of the modules
- on some modules under "freeform text" I save the widget code under the "HTML" tab, but after I save it and go into edit it, I cannot go into the HTML tab (blank), it appears in the basic and advanced tabs but not the actual code... just the boxes that represent the code?
thanks!
Mike

Still can't delete the modules.... can anyone help?
thanks
Hum.. I have been testing this with three types of web browsers all day today.. and it would appear that "FireFox" as a error that may be giving you this problem.. With firefox.. some if not all of the "tabs" and "edit options" are not visible or available to you.. Try another browser. Right now (after discovering this error with firefox) I'm on Opera Browser and the edit tabs etc have return.
btw.. Your "viewable" name is not within the Collectivex's guide lines.. and I would change it as soon as possible.. Thus, this could be why no one responded to your question..
Hi Wizard,
Thanks... for the feedback.
I've tried 3 different browsers (FireFox, Safari and IE) and they all have the same problem. I have multiple groupsites and I only have problems with the sumary page of one site... so I'm pretty sure it's the specific page.
I've contacted support numerous times (via emails and trouble ticket via phone)...over the past several months... but noone has returned my emails or calls...it's becoming very frustrating since I can't make changes to my own groupsite... meanwhile I have over 600+ members... AND it's a premium site (I'm paying).
Can anyone recommend anything?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
thanks
Mike
I have Windows XP, and for the last 3 weeks or so I can NOT edit my summary/home page, period. This is my welcome page. If I want to change things, I must deleted it and start from scratch or copy and paste from another source. If I attempt to edit without totally deleting, it goes blank and is white. I have wrote to support and I have heard nothing back from them. I am NOT happy. I am paying alot of money for my site to work and operate perfectly. You are not alone.
Dr. Trocar,
The JavaScript that you embedded in your home page (coming from http://cdn.widgetserver.com/syndication/subscriber/InsertWidget.js) caused JavaScript errors whenever you edit it.
I removed the offending JavaScript and editing the rest of the content works fine now.
We are in the middle of developing a fallback measure to facilitate deleting "destructive content" in spite of the browser no longer responding to JavaScript.
Michael,
You are currently a manager of several groups... can you give us one example of a group where you are experiencing this problem?
Hello Joe,
One of the sites is www.cmoexecnet.org but it seems to be working now? Was something fixed?
Mike
Mike,
We have fixed a lot of things since Monday morning, but I never was able to get what was happening to you to happen to me. I'm geussing that because you have a custom domain name, you may have benefitted from one of the fixes earlier today or yesterday.
What do i have to do to put a in new image, from those that i have on flicker, in to the image box that I have on my hoome/welcome page?
where is the tab to edit the welcome page is it invisible on a MAC?
Brian - We are all Mac users at CollectiveX so everything we do should rock on a Mac. That being said, in order to edit a module on the SUMMARY page you must be a manager of the Groupsite and log-in as the manager. The way to tell is, if you see the "manager" tab next to the "My Settings" tab you are OK.
To the right of each modules title bar you should see the word "edit" which is the key to making changes. Here is a blog pst that walks you through the process of adding a picture: http://champions.collectivex.com/post/how-to-embed-a-picture-into-a-module
Hope that helps.
