Subgroup Module Error

Along with the release of Subgroups, I noticed we now also have the ability to add Subgroup content modules to our Groupsite -great feature!
I am having an issue with the subgroup content modules... they are not showing up once added to one of my custom pages. It only reads "No non-private subgroups to display" There is also no "Edit" button associated with this module.

I do not see the "edit" selection on the module bar.
