Long Load Time & Default Font Size

Nancy - Sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties. As for long load times, we are not getting this feedback from the rest of our users which makes me suspect it may be something on your computer or in your browser that is affecting things.

Your browser can also change the size of the font displayed on any web page. We have not received any complaints about our default font size but perhaps this solution also resides in your browser settings. You may want to adjust the default font size in your browser.

This is the only site that is doing this - that is why I  brought up the load time. IE will start to access the site, then it freezes for several seconds, then the entire page will suddenly appear. When it freezes - it is feezing my entire system - usually I will have to go to the task list to end the process if I just don't have the time to wait.

I changed security levels to medium - I set it up where I allow pop-up blockers - there is phishing provided by Norton 360 - I turned of these settings for IE since it duplicated the other. I don't know what else to do.

The font size that is showing - your font size that you sent your message in is larger than what is showing on my screen. When I am typing, the default font is very small - smaller than the size that is displayed after this is published. That is what I am referring to. I cannot see what I am typing. It is more like 8 px - not 8 pts. Now-when it is published, the font is larger.

I need a larger font size in the editor program so that I can see what I am tying.

I set the default font to 120 dpi for my system display and I still get a tiny font on this site.

Something about your site and my system - Toshiba 64 bit - Vista Home Premium - IE 7.

I resolved all of the issues apparently by downloading IE8 beta.

However, I cannot use the drop down menu for switching between group sites. It will not do anything.

I think this was an issue on my other machine. Still has not changed - not sure how you suggested that it be resolved.

Overall - much better performance and the font size is just right (although it could be as tall as a tree and I would still need glasses!)

Let me know about the drop down. Otherwise doing fine.

We have resolved all of the IE 7 speed issues as of last week sometime.

At this time we do not yet officially support any "beta" browser versions.  Either IE 7 or Firefox 3.0 should work just fine.
