In a Groupsite, you can attach or link to files when communicating through any feature that uses the Text Editor, also called a "WYSIWYG Editor." A Groupsite's Discussions, Group Blog, Email Blast and other features all make use of the Text Editor.
For example, when you create a discussion post you can use the "Attach a File" (paperclip) feature of the WYSIWYG Editor to make a file available from directly within your post.
You can attach a file that has already been uploaded to your file cabinet or, if you are a Groupsite Manager or a member of a Groupsite where file uploading is permitted, use the "browse" option that's presented during the "Attach a File" process to upload a file from a local drive to your Groupsite's File Cabinet. (The file must be uploaded in your Groupsite's File Cabinet in order for you to attach it.)
Graphic or PDF files that you have uploaded to your group's File Cabinet afford an additional option. These type of files, when uploaded to your File Cabinet and then clicked on, open as their own web page. You can hyperlink any word or series of words within your discussion post to your files using the "Create Link" (chain link) feature of your text editor. To create a hyperlink to an image, highlight the text you want hyperlinked, and then click the "Create Link" feature to browse your file cabinet and select your target image.
