Interested in our rebrand? Fantastic. Here's the scoop:
Why did you change your name?
We researched - talked, looked, listened and broke out our monkey (SurveyMonkey, that is) -- with CollectiveX users and non-users; mentors and board members; friends, family, investors and advisors. Heck, we even asked strangers at the local bar. We queried our spouses over the dinner table -- and Google, online. We confirmed that Groupsite.com is
- easier to remember
- more user-friendly
- more descriptive of our service, and
- more likely to be found on the Internet
...than "CollectiveX."
By and large, customers told us they like "Groupsite.com" over "CollectiveX," especially when appearing in their Groupsites. We're Groupsite.com today (formerly CollectiveX) because we believe this name will better serve you and our mission.
How will I benefit?
This change is good for everyone: it strengthens our company, which helps us do more for you, our customers.
You may also enjoy changes within your actual Groupsite. Because we power Groupsites, you've likely noticed references to our company name in your Groupsite. These references now include the more multi-purpose term, "groupsite," instead of "collectivex" - which many customers prefer.
For public Groupsites, there's an additional bonus: having a web address (URL) containing the word "groupsite" may help your group get found faster and more often by people looking for communities on the Internet (i.e., you may see your Groupsite's search engine rankings improve because the term "group site" is more often searched on than "collectivex.")
What's different?
1. Our name, logo and brand elements.
2. Some of our contact information.
3. Your Groupsite's web address (URL), unless you use Custom Domain mapping.
But, no worries! Your old URL also still works and you won't lose web traffic as a result of this change. Your web address will simply and automatically redirect visitors from "collectivex.com"
to your new "groupsite.com" domain.
Do I need to do anything?
To help avoid SPAM filters and bounced mail, we suggest you add the following email addresses to your address book and/or email whitelist:
If you have published your Groupsite's web address, you may also want to update it with your new URL.
What's the same?
Your Groupsite, its availability and our services haven't changed. You get the same great service at the same great price. Your log-in information remains the same, too.
Does my collectivex.com web address (URL) still work? For how long?
Yes, it will always work. If someone visits an old "collectivex.com" link, the pages will simply and automatically transfer the visitor to your new "groupsite.com" web address. If you are using our Custom Domain Mapping service, there has been no change to your Groupsite's web address (URL).
Where can I log in?
- Directly into your Groupsite, from your Groupsite's URL (Following this format, http://yourgroupsitename.groupsite.com, for example).
- From our corporate site, www.groupsite.com, for an overlay of all your Groupsites' activity in "View All" mode, before switching into your individual Groupsite(s).

That all sounds fine. Now please can "email blasts" be renamed so it doesn't sound like attacking its recipients? In recognition of your worldwide reach, we'd like the option of having dates shown dd/mm, too.

Congratulations! I like the new name, and the logo. I think "Groupsite" will be more palatable to most people in their branding efforts. Great work.

Another change required for managers is the inclusion of "CollectiveX" in the boiler plate text or previously generated messages for inviting new members. Managers will want to edit their previously created welcome messages.
