Group Task List?

Hi, Gwen.  We don't have a group task list feature today, but I like that idea or, even, a member-editable Freeform Text type of content module (allowing members to contribute to the list).

That may be something we can look at when we add wiki functionality -- a feature we do intend to add in the future.

In the meantime, here are a few possible workarounds:

• Set your Group Blog to allow all members to post to it; then, create you list in a blog post. Members can edit the list from the "Blog Admin" area. You can even place this in a content module as a "featured post" on your Summary page to give it greater visibility.

• If maintenance of the list will be managed by a Groupsite manager(s) only, you could create your list using a "Freeform Text" type of content module.

• If you want members to be able to edit the list, but don't want to give them Blog Admin privileges, you can create a hyperlink or page in your Groupsite to direct members to another area (site) that provides what you need. One service I'm familiar with is ListAfterList.com which allows you to create "wiki" lists, each with their own URL to which you can link. This may not prove to be practical (technically any one will be able to view and edit the list -- not just your Groupsite members) but the service is free. You may want to see if this works for you.
