Abuse Reporting Site not working

I have been trying to report a case of abuse through the abuse reporting site (accessed through the "Tell the manager" link in the offending email) but it will not accept the passcode... I keep entering it and keep getting an error message with a new passcode... then I get the error message... ad infinitum.

I received the same email from "vivian vivian" and encountered the same problem when trying to report the abuse via the "Tell the manager." Hopefully, the problem will be resolved soon and "vivian vivian" will be removed.

I, too, received this email spam, but don't remember being asked for a passcode. I just didn't think it was working properly because it doesn't show the offending email. Are you guys getting these spam reports? I sent another a while back, but didn't get any notice that you got my report, as I think I have in the past.

Hi, everyone. Thanks for your alert reporting of the "Vivian" spammer and any difficulty you had with reporting it.


1) The user has been permanently deleted from our system.


2) Our team discussed this on Friday and we're adding even more protection in to help prevent such abusers in the future. (Ticket #1607)


3) @Theresa & Holly - Can you tell us what Web browser you were using when you had trouble with the Captcha code? We haven't been able to duplicate this ourselves, and this is the second report of difficulty with it. We'll add this information to our investigation of what may be happening (Ticket #1563)


4) Here's why some users see the Captch box and others don't: if you are logged-in as a user when you click the "Tell the manager" link, you won't see the Catpcha box. The Captcha box is only presented when you're not logged in to the system.


5) @Liza - Crazy, and you're right! Our feedback form does not today include an area where you can copy the offending message. We'll be adding this in the future (Ticket #1521). In the meantime, we rely on users to forward a copy to us (support@groupsite.com), and we're not shy to ask for a copy when needed.


6) We take SPAM very, very seriously and always take immediate action. Our replies from support are today not automated, and we'll try to do a better job alerting you when we've responded.
