where should I post information on myself for help on my job search? Obviously I would like it to be visible to as many eyeballs as possible.

I already have that as a shared objective. My question then would be how many people see that? I joined the groupsite thing but I also need to look into Yahoo groups for my job field. I also will see if I can get to some of those pink slip events as well.

Your objective can be viewed by any members of any Groupsite(s) you join. In the case of the Pink Slip Mixers Groupsite, for instance, they currently have over 1400 members.
Because CollectiveX is a group-centric platform, and allows groups to communicate, share and network to make things happen together and specific to the purpose of the group, you can also change your objective within any of the Groupsites you join. (Your goal and objectives may be different for different groups.)
