Invited members unable to join

Hi all,
I've recent been informed that some of those that I've invited to join groupsites have been unable to do so for some reason. One was apparently incorrectly told that she was offline.
Are these issues common & are there typical solutions?
Shaun

I've had two such problems, but I don't know the answers.
As I said recently on the FAQ, one of my invitees declined by mistake. We'd both like to put this right, but the software seems to prevent me re-inviting someone who has declined. How can I get round this?
Another invitee said "I have tried 7 times to sign on and every time there is an error. I cannot spend endless time on trying to sign on." So far we have been unable to discover what kind of error it is.
All advice appreciated.
Shaun & Claire -
We're sorry to hear anyone has had trouble joining, let alone multiple times. At this time we've identified no systematic problem (we're seeing folks registering by the thousands). If someone does have trouble joining, it could be for a variety of reasons -- a browser issue, aggressive SPAM filters, user error, wrong email address. etc.
That said, we don't know what we don't know, and we care a great deal to 1) make sure your members can join, and 2) know how the system and performing.
If someone has trouble joining, please write or have them contact us directly at support@collectivex.com. Please also feel free to contact Shaun Callahan or me, Diana Giglio, directly about any specific cases.
Additionally, you can also use this trick as a Groupsite Manager if you want:
Change your Groupsite's membership setting from "By Invitation Only" to "By Approved Request or By Invitation Only." This action will allow a "Join" link to appear on your Groupsite. Leave this setting on just long enough for the invitee to visit your Groupsite and request to join. You can then approve their request and change your Membership setting back to "By Invitation Only."
Claire - the above method is also how you can get around the inability to re-invite a member who has previously declined an invitation but does, in fact, want to join.
I have experienced a similar issue with one of my colleagues logging into our site. I have sent Diana a more detailed email. However I have just found out that my colleague has Norton 360 and it was trying to control her form login info. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Tracy,
Sorry for any trouble. We're not aware of Norton 360 causing log-in difficulty for any users. Also, if a user has difficulty logging-in, the reason for this may be different than what prevents someone from initially accepting an invitation or joining a Groupsite. If someone has trouble joining, or an existing member has trouble logging-in, please have them contact us directly at support@collectivex.com.
