Can you guys reward users who complete their profiles by removing the box that says how complete their profile is?

Adding my vote for the change too!
I would take it even farther than this. Yes, the profile should go away when complete, but the administrator should be able to disengage the profile altogether.
At my site, some of the profile questions don't make sense to our use case and therefore never get completed. In particular in my case: key connections. I ended up simply putting my wife in as a connection in order to complete my profile (hoping it would then disappear.) Most of my users will never finish their profiles.
At the very least, as admin, I'd like to be able to move the profile to the bottom of the column.
I agree that the box should automatically disappear when it is complete. I think this is the best approach considering obtaining the member information is very useful as it relates to building relationships.
Having the option to turn it off for those members that get annoyed by it is great as well. However, we as GS Managers should probably be more proactive as it relates to customizing and/or eliminating questions that don't reflect the objectives of the Groupsite then the members would probably be more incline to complete their profile.
(I admit I'm guilty of this, but my site has not officially launched )
Hi Everyone,
I am just making sure that you are aware that the functionality to remove the "Profile Completeness Meter was added on February 16, 2012. We sent a system message to all Groupsite managers on February 16, 2012, but i have received a few messages that some managers deleted the message box in their Groupsite(s) before reading it:)
Here is a link to the FAQ with additional information.
