How do I make extra pages public?

I've created a couple of extra pages for freeform text, etc., like an About page, but it seems that they're only available to group members -- guests get redirected to a sign up page. That's a potentially cool feature, but I want to create pages that can be viewed by anyone. How do I do that? I couldn't find any permission settings for individual pages. I have a Premium account.
