Fixing Google Ads

I have been using Google Ads for years on the BetterJobsFaster site. Recently they stopped working. I checked it out on Google AdSense and they say I need to add the attached ads.txt file to the root level of my site.

I tried putting it at the root level of the File Cabinet, but that didn't work. Can you help me get it installed into the proper location so the ads work again?
