As a Groupsite manager, you can can import RSS feeds to your Summary page, sidebars or a "More" page. This is done using using our "News Feeds" type of Content Module (to see how, follow this link: http://champions.groupsite.com/post/how-to-add-an-rss-feed-to-a-groupsite)
While "RSS" stands for Really Simple Syndication, we realize it is not always so simple to get it to work exactly the way you want.
Sometimes, when you add a RSS feed you'll find that it doesn't work -- instead, you may receive an error message or your module disappears. Here's what you can do:
1) Make sure there wasn't a typo when you entered the feed URL. (We suggest copy and pasting in the desired URL into your News Feed module).
2) Check to make sure your feed is valid at http://feedvalidator.org.
If Feed Validator says it's not valid, odds are it won't work in your Groupsite. Feed Validator will also tell you what the errors are; and, if you're the author of the feed you'll be able to fix the errors.
If your feed is invalid and you can't fix the errors, you can:
3) Locate and use a different RSS feed. (Just enter your new feed URL in the 'Feed Source' box of your "News Feed" module).
4) Create your own RSS feed with our help. (Select this option from the 'Feed' menu of your "News Feed" module).
If feed validator reports that your feed is valid, but you're still having trouble:
5) Let us know at support@groupsite.com. Be sure to include the RSS feed URL and the name of your Groupsite
