How to - Manage Your Personal Data (Including Timezone)

Once you log-in to a Groupsite, the event postings listed on a Groupsite Calendar are shown based on your timezone, as set in your Personal Data (if you are not logged in, and the calendar is publicly visible, you will see the event based on the timezone of the group (which is set by the Groupsite manager).  

Here's how you can check to see if that information is correct and make any changes:

Select the MY SETTINGS tab which will take you to the "My Profile Settings" page.

The top section is the "General Information" and contains "Personal Data."

Click on the title "Personal Data" and you will see the following screen where you can edit your data:

Make any needed edits and hit SUBMIT.


Note: For groups with members in multiple time zones, we suggest the following as a best practice when posting an "in person" meeting to your calendar (i.e., an event with a start time you wouldn't need auto-adjusted based on timezone):

Set the event as a "All Day" event, then include the event time and time zone in the "Event Name" field. This data will be visible to members from within the "Month" view of the calendar. Also include the event start and end time, along with the time zone where the event is taking place, in the event details area. This information will be viewable to members when they click on the event.

    Does a group have a set timezone for non-member visitors? If so, can this be adjusted?

    Yes. Non-members and visitors default to the timezone of the Groupsite. This is set by a Groupsite Manager in the "General Settings" area.
