Ability to tag blog posts, pictures, calendar events, and discussions

Right now, you can "tag" a blog post by first creating a new category, and then selecting the ones that you want.

I was wondering if you would consider having a free-form text box too, so that I can add tags just by typing them out and seperating them with commas or semi-colons.  I would still want the check-box feature for tags I've already created.

It would be nice to be able to tag specific discussion topics too.  The topic creator might make a post in "Feature Requests," but as the discussion progresses it may also include a discussion about "Modules"...that way if you looked at everything tagged with "Modules," that discussion topic would come up.

Finally, the ability to tag calendar events and pictures would be great.  For example, if I'm holding an event in San Francisco, clicking on the San Francisco tag would bring up the calendar event, as well as any blog posts, or discussion posts on San Francisco.  The "search" function covers this too, but not quite as neatly because it looks for the term in all text, even if its incidental.
