Create a HIDDEN page that is linked from a visible page?

Love the idea.  Working on incorporating it.

The information on this premium feature is lacking documentation. Here is what I know:

This feature will allow you to create your own custom pages and rename the MORE tab.
You can create several different types of pages:
A link to a webpage on an external website.
A page which embeds a webpage on external website within a frameset.
A page of customizable modules, with a sidebar. This is the most powerful option, and offers the same customization capability found on the Summary page.
Each page that you create is added to the More tab submenu, which you can reorder using drag-and-drop on the Group Settings » Content Customization page.
COMING SOON: The ability to remove optional sections from your Groupsites, such as the Calendar or the Group Blog.

 
I have some questions.
What customizable modules come with this premium feature?
Can I create a form and then post the results user enter into it?
Can I add advertising to each page individually or statically so it shows up on every page?
Is there a text/HTML module?
Can I post flash video on these pages?
Can each page have its own calendar?
Can PayPal be integrated with these pages?

Maverick - You are correct, our documentation is lame and we are working to fix that now that we have finally got the new version live.

Here are the answers to your questions:

What customizable modules come with this premium feature? There are no additional modules available that aren't already available from the SUMMARY page.  That being said, our Freeform Text Module can be anything you want it to be.

Can I create a form and then post the results user enter into it? We do not have that capability native to the platform but I am sure there are 3rd party widgets that allow for this that can be embedded into a Freeform Text Module. Lots of our groups are using survey widgets like Poll Daddy to capture user entries as surveys.

Can I add advertising to each page individually or statically so it shows up on every page? There is no "ad-engine" designed into these pages but once again, you can accomplish this by dropping your add code or graphic banner link into a Freeform Text Module which you can manually add to each page. Alternatively, you can add a mosule for that purpose on the SUMMARY page sidebar and choose the option to have "add to all wide sidebars" and that module will show up on all "new pages".

Is there a text/HTML module? Same thing - Freeform Text Module (select HTML Source) tab from the WYSIWYG editor.

Can I post flash video on these pages? Yes. 

Can each page have its own calendar? No, if served from our platform.  Each Groupsite has a single calendar. 

Can PayPal be integrated with these pages? Of course, people have been embedding Paypal buttons into the sidebar of their SUMMARY pages even before we had Modules. Simply insert the Paypal code into our all purpose Freeform Text module.

Quick question about removing optional features...will the File Cabinet and the Photo Galleries be "optional?"

I ask because I plan on using SmugMug to host all our photos, and even though I can create a link under the "More' Tab, it seems redundant to have a "Photo Gallery" link too.

Is this Feature Ready ?  I am eagerly waiting as I have lot of Custom Pages that would like to go as Menus.

Under "Content Customization" you should see a module allowing you to add new pages.  It's a premium feature.

Yeah. But, is there an option to make one of my pages a Seperate Menu Item rather than hidden under the More Tab ?  I don't think so.   Did I miss any step ?

Under "Content Customization", the ability to create a menu shortcut for one of your "new pages" is not available yet. Today, you can only make a shortcut for existing core pages.

We also are still working on the functionality that will allow you to turn areas off and, yes, that will include calendar and photo gallery when we add it.

The ability to create new mages that do not show up under the MORE tab but can still be linked to from within the site is also still under development.

An additional feature request, if you're working on this:

The ability to change the labelling of the menu items (e.g. Summary, Communicate), the ability to create top tier menus items (e.g. on the same level as Summary, etc.), and the ability to move sub-tier items (e.g. Discussions) around to different top-tier menus.

Actually this could work for me setting up different beta participation sites where memebers can only see the new pages they have permissions to view/post. i.e. if the member is only able to see the the linux Beta Page should only be able to see the linux page discussions and the windows page to those who have access to those new pages. I could see this being a developers nightmare trying to set permissions on each new unique page created but would be one way to segment users from being able to see different discussions.

I know you all did a release in 08 do you know when the next update might come out and possible what feartures you are putting on that update.
