Importing Outlook Calendar entries & Outlook Contacts

I'd like to be able to important the individual entries (or the entire thing) in my Outlook Calendar and all the contacts in my Outlook Contacts. Any advice?
By the way, I just left Google Docs, which I found to be so cumbersome that it made me want to purchase Microsoft shares. CollectiveX is pretty impressive.

Yes, please develop the ability to import individual calendar items. Having to import the entire calendar is a deterrant and not realistic considering all the additions and deletions to the calendar. Most users would rather pick and choose individual events instead of having to reload the entire calendar each time to add a single event. Thanks.
Thus far, our topic has been a real barn-burner. Any way to get the attention of the powers-that-be?
Shaun will get here eventually - he is pretty good at attending to the forums. Saying nice things about CollectiveX always works - lol
Nice things help but aren't required. Sorry for snoozing on you guys - we are all sleep-deprived working a 3 -day trade show while also releasing a major version release has us a tad bit swamped.
That being said, I agree completely with your calendar function requests. We need to spend some additional time optimizing the performance of the new release and chasing down a few inadvertant bugs that have cropped up before we take a look at additional features.
The ability to export single events is a feature that I personally would get tremendous value from.

PS - is the barn-burning now?
If you took that great shot then your photo would show that you are missing eyebrows.
Any idea on priorities for new features?
Thanks.
Sorry to hear about your lack of sleep. Which conference, by the way?
Hope it was successful.

I am setting up a enterprise collective x group to serve as a corporate intranet. I am having problems with the calendar function and automating the process to export to Outlook 2003. The "Outlook Export" feature is not what I want to use b/c it only creates a comma separated file that you have to save and then import into Outlook manually in a two step process.
I thought that if you click the Ical Export, then click "Open", it would automatically add the entry into Outlook. However, when attempting to do so, Outlook 2003 gives an error and says "Cannot Import vCalendar file".
I did some searching and found that if you save the file, open the ics file with a text editor and remove the VERSION:2.0 line, then it imports perfectly.
Has anyone found a workaround so you can click the Ical Export, click "open", and have it add to Outlook. Having to do a two step process is too cumbersome, especially for my non technical users.
Thanks
Randy
When I was deleteing my old mails at 3o'clock some days ago, something happened...And I lost all my mails. But after one day I accidentally saw-recover contacts from ost in inet.Tool is free as far as I remember, besides that it can likewise extract a set of files in *.eml, *.vcf and *.txt extensions.
I'm looking for a way to import Outlook calendar entries into a subgroup groupsite calendar. Any functionality for this?
importing external calendars is a good idea. I know I would be interested in importing google calendars - in fact integration with the whole google suite would be awesome.
Has this feature been addressed yet? I assume what is being discussed as a individual calendar item would be a meeting or all day event.
It would be great if I could create a widget on my Groupsite that would automatically create a calendar event within Outlook with just one click. It would eliminate the task of having to enter a meeting in Outlook after receiving a meeting notice from Groupsite.
Is there another way to accomplish this?
Hi Synkai,
This feature in some form has been discussed and tentatively scheduled for the last quarter 2011, however, this time frame could change as our priorities shift.
I am sorry that we could not be more helpful with a work around.
Sincerely,
