"Lots of Helping Hands" has excellent capabilities re assigning responsibilities and staffing events.
I think Ning is more fun and is easy to use.

Marc - I agree that Ning is "more fun". In fact, that often defines who gets the most value from our platform, those groups that are actually trying to make things happen or those individuals who are looking to have fun.
MySpace is even more fun than Ning but that's not where purposeful groups are going to collaborate.
As for "ease of use", I welcome any specific feedback you may have regarding where you feel we are not leading in this area.
