Using members' sign-in details for alternative services

I am wondering if it is possible for managers to use member sign-in information for other services. I am contemplating setting up some services for use exclusively by my group members (e.g., google aps for your domain). It would be great to be able to say to members "sign-in with the same details as your collectivex sign-in".

Hmmm... kind of an Open-ID thing. We do have Enterprise clients who are using our single sign-on API to pass their member sign-in information from their member only sites to us for a single sign-on but we have not passed our sign-in info on to external services. Worth taking a look into.
I guess one angle might be if CollectiveX develops partnerships with other web-application developers. For example if CollectiveX teamed with someone providing a social news application. Managers could launch the social news site and members could be directed to login with their existing collectivex details. I am just thinking about the services that I might want to provide to members and a personalized news service (rss reader) or social news service are two examples. Would not want members to have to go through the process of signing up to these services.
