CollectiveX could play better in the email inbox

I like CollectiveX better than Yahoo! Groups on the whole, but CollectiveX doesn't work nearly as well in my email inbox. Observations and suggestions:
- The FROM field. Is "via CollectiveX" really necessary? It makes every name artificially long. This is particularly a problem in Gmail, which organizes email conversations into threads. Because the senders' names all have "via CollectiveX" appended to them, there's only room for a single name on that line in the inbox. That means that every post in that thread looks like it's coming from the SAME PERSON -- whoever started the thread. So it doesn't look like a real conversation, just like one person posting over and over. Even beyond Gmail, it just looks too corporate to have "via CollectiveX" there.
- The SUBJECT line. Could we have a customization option for the name that appears in brackets before the subject heading, as we do with the groupsite URL? When the full name of the group is here, it takes up a lot of space, which really obscures the subject matter. An abbreviation or nickname would be appropriate.
- The EMAIL LAYOUT. Could the message content please come first? There's a lot of junk to wade through every single time before you get to the actual message. Too many disclaimers, links and buttons. It's cluttered, impersonal (despite the photos!), and has a dulling influence on the conversation. Reading messages through CollectiveX is like reading a newspaper where all the advertisements are above the fold and all the articles are below the fold. Not fun!
Thanks for listening.

Amy - Thanks for the feedback. I wanted to acknowledge that we are listening. We wrestle daily with the issues around how to be better than a listserv (which we believe we are) without losing some of the good things about them. I can assure you that the team will spend some whiteboard time thinking about how to best incorporate your suggestions.
Thanks,
Shaun
Thanks, Shaun. That's fantastic.
