Can a manager change a member's e-mail address?

Just wondering. My members are busy attorneys and, when a member writes me and tells me that his/her e-mail address has changed, I would like to be able to make the change myself. However, I see no such functionality and it probably doesn't exist. I thought I might as well ask, though.

Groupsite has been working out perfectly for my needs, BTW, Celeste.

Thanks!

Hi Robin,

I hope you are doing well! I'm glad that things are working out for you.

Regarding: Can a Groupsite's Manager change a members Email Address?

I'm sorry, for security and privacy reasons,  as a Groupsite Manager, you
do not have the ability to change a member's email address. Even
employees at Groupsite.com cannot change a user's email address. This is
because on the Groupsite.com Platform your email address is not just an
email address, but it acts as your unique ID, like a Social Security
number. A member's same user ID (their registered email address) is used
for any/all Groupsite(s) that the user joins or creates on the Groupsite.com
Platform, including sites not related to your specific Groupsite.

Your members can change their own email address/user ID at anytime. Here are instructions that you can pass along to your members:

Changing your email is done from the MY SETTINGS > MY PROFILE area of your Groupsite.

To change your Email address:

1. Log-in to your Groupsite using the old Email Address

2. Select the MY SETTINGS tab. This area will default to your Profile settings page.

3. Select either "Professional Contact" or "Personal Contact"

4. Hit the green plus sign to "add another email address"

5. Enter the new address and hit "add"

6. You will then be sent a system email to the new address in order to verify that it is a legitimate working email.

(You may need to check your Junk or Spam filter for this verification email.)

7. Follow the instructions in the verification email to validate your new email address.

8. If you no longer want to receive Groupsite email to your original address, repeat steps 1-3 and select the red minus sign next to your old address to delete it.

Your new address will now also be the one you use to log-in to the system.

I hope this helps. If you need additional assistance, please write to support@groupsite.com .

Sincerely,

Celeste Sharper Wooten
