How do I insert a sig tag?

Hi!

I use sig tags on other boards, but I can't figure out how to do it here.

Also, can I save my signature so I don't have to write it out every time I post?

I am introducing a 100 member group to this site tomorrow (5/21), so if I can get a response quickly I would appreciate it.

Thanks, Kristina

Kristina - We do not have the ability to add auto signatures.  That being said, the fact that your picture (if you have uploaded one) and your name next to each post provides an easy link to your profile.  This includes the email blasts (if you subscribe to a topic).  Clicking on the photo takes you directly to the profile page.

I am open to suggestions you may have regarding how to keep this simple and be more effective.

Actually, I am just used to having sig tags when I post. It seem to help with networking and also with branding (logo recognition).

For now, I add and image, then give it a link.

It is more work to have to do this for every post, so I was hoping that there was a place where I could enter the information and then it would enter it automaticly.

I hope that this is something collectionx might want to add.

Thanks!

Here is my sig tag:

Kristina and Shaun,
I agree... it would be very helpful to be able to add a signature so it appears automatically at bottom of each of our posts.

I'm an experienced "poster" on other networking sites, such as Just Plain Folks which has over 15,000 online members and just about everyone uses their signature there to some extent. Of course it is optional, but especially for professional groups

I think it's virtually essential because you can edit the sig as needed and include other important links to your official business or other sales pages, etc.

Thanks!

P.S. I "cheated" and entered my signature manually! Laughing

Hi,

I am a Group Manager for leansigma.collectivex.com site. It would be great to have auto signature option. Particularly since we publish lots of articles and we wish to put a "Share" or "tell a friend" bookmarking button automatically to new posts and drive forum traffic.

I do agree with Shaun's view of the poster's profile and photo being shown, however, if we have to include a bookmark button, an auto-sig will be a great feature to have!!

BTW - I am typing my signature here below !!!!

Bumping this post, it would be nice to have a small auto-added block under your post for this reason.  For users coming from a typical forum setup (PHP-BB or Webwiz), this is a standard expectation.

The profile page is great for further in depth information about the user, but the sig block is a swatch of personality embedded in each post which some people change on an almost daily basis.

Hi C. Scott,
I like the way you put that, I agree!
Nice job,
Michael
