Rotating Sponsor Widget

Looking for some help: does anyone have experience with rotating sponsor widgets on Groupsite?
We've had a rotating sponsor widget on our DutchSA groupsite for quite some
years now. See www.dutchsa.com.au on the right hand side, section 'Our
premium partners'. The rotating sponsor images are facilitated by
Widgetbox. When you click on them you are redirected to the website of our
sponsors.
Unfortunatly the current construction through Widgetbox seizes to exist in
a few months, as Widgetbox quits their services.
My question was if anyone can point us in an alternative direction, so that we
can keep displaying our sponsor logo's in a rotating widget. Have any of
you guys done something similar?

I am sorry I am not responding with answer to your question but a question for you.
Intrigued by the idea of a rotating sponsor images widget I checked out your page.
Can you tell me more about the photo widget you embedded? Which widget are you using?
Most appreciative of any info you can share.

Jan gave us permission to share the below information with any Groupsite Manager who asked. Here is Jan's message:
Hi Celeste,
Just thought I'd share this with you. We had some help with getting our
rotating sponsor widget working.
The solution works out nicely: no need for external web-services and the
logo's are sourced from a photo gallery on our Groupsite.
Attached is the code. Happy for you to share this with other Groupsite
administrators.
