Hello,
I was wondering if there is any plans to bring a new feature enabling us to have a paid section; what would be cool is a subscription-based solution fully-integrated with Paypal; is there anything like that in the making? thanks

I really would like to add a PayPal donation button to my groupsite Summary page. This would allow me to fund the upgraded features. Will this feature be available in the near future?

Guys - To Maverick's post, you can easily add a Paypal button to a Freeform Text module on the Summary page now, however, to Chris' request, this payment mechanism has not yet been baked into our core system so that you can require someone to make payment (think collect dues) as part of joining the Groupsite.
We know this functionality would be a big hit and, quite frankly, we have not had the time to give it the attention it deserves.
At present, our focus is to make sure all existing functionality is running as it should at top speed. Once we are convinced that we are delivering all of the new functionality we added this past Sunday (which was our first major over-haul in over a year) we can get back on working on this and other things.
I will say this, our next features will not have a "release date". Our team works very hard keeping Groupsites, simple, effective and relevant for our customers who are looking to communicate, share and network. As we add features in the future, they will simply appear on a random tuesday at 3:17pm or any given Sunday.

Thanks for the heads up Shaun! You guys did a nice job with the latest release and can pat yourself in the back (probably already done), i look forward to having that feature implemented soon!

If you take a look at the "Upgrade Groupsite" sub-tab in the manager area, you will see a comprehensive list of premium features along with brief descriptions and, for some, more detailed explanations of the provided functionality.
Let us know if this isn't what you're looking for.
