Discussion URL has "beta"

I just found that the Discussions raised in my groupsite has beta attached to it's URL. Wondering if there is any testing going on at Groupsite ? What worries me is the change of the URL down the line. The links are shared across other social networking sites and the change in the URL will result in broken links all over.
Here is an example:

Hi Sanjay,
We are aware of the "beta" identification in discussions for all Groups on our Platform (with the exception of Enterprise clients). Groupsite.com currently runs two Applications (we call it our old and
new apps). For about the last 1.5 years or so we have been migrating our
Groupsite.com Platform one area at a time to our New Application, with
the end goal of having the entire Platform on our new App and getting
rid of the old App. We have been rewriting the old App code
for the various areas of the Platform and then migrating the new code
to the new App (while running both apps at the same time). Our
Discussion's area is the latest area that has been migrated. We do a
systematic migration to minimize customer/user impact. We have been testing
the new Discussions area code for about 1 year with select groups. Then in July 2012, we moved all of our Groups, with the exception of groups on the
Enterprise Platform, to the new app Discussion area.
The "beta" identification will remain until the Enterprise Groups are moved to the new App for discussions. No worries, when the beta identification is no longer valid, all links created with beta will automatically redirect.

Thank you, Celeste. Good to know that I don't have to do anything to preserve the shared URLs.
Nope, no work for you, we take care of that on our end:)
