Editing a member's forum post

When I went to edit a member's forum post (topic), I found that clicking the save button simply took me to the "preview" option. That is, both the preview and the save buttons did the same thing. It ultimately meant I could not edit their post and had to delete it.

We are unable to duplicate the problem that you described when editing a Discussion Topic or a member's reply to a Discussion Topic. Can you describe for us the steps that you were taking when you ran into a problem? Are you able to send us a screen shot? What browser/version are you using? I can give you some more details:
I was attempting to edit a topic that a member had started because it contained sensitive information. I clicked "edit topic" which brought up the editor. I then edited the post, clicked save but was taken instead to the preview topic function. Each time I clicked save, the same happened.
I can't send a screenshot as I ended up deleting the topic altogether. I can however watch to see if it happens again. I was using firefox - latest build at full screen view.
