Was this what you meant or am I misunderstanding your request?

I see the search bar there but it is not functional. There is text inside the search bar that says "Search all forums" but when I click there and try to type, nothing happens.

Also, I would like to be able to search within a specific forum. For example, before reporting what seems like  a problem in the search functionality, I would like to review any bug reports that contain the word search. In that example, I'm not interested in feature requests or success stories that relate to search; I want to search within the bug reports forum.

Yes, Amy, I agree with you.  It would be a helpful feature to have the Search Bar available within a Forum.

Additionally, in V2 it would be incredibly helpful to have the SITE SEARCH feature readily available from all windows.  Whereever you are, you can search the entire site w/out having to return to the Summary page.

I'd support site search from all pages.

Persistant search on all Groupsite pages is part of the coming V2.  The idea to have "forum specific" search is a good one.  We need to look into that.

For me it doesnt have to be a forum specific search, just having a search bar available when inside a forum.  Sounds like that's coming with V2 so that's great!
