Change from creator to member status

I created a (free) Groupsite Network in early 2010: and am thus one of two managers. I am now working elsewhere and it is relevant for me to handover groupsite manager/adminstrative responsibilities to someone else. However, as creator of the site, will this be possible, and will there be any issues that need to be considered.
I still wish to be a member of this particular groupsite.

Hi Andrew,
Yes, as the creator, you are able to assign another manager to take your place. However, you will always be listed as the creator of the site, which means that once you go from manager to member, and someone decides it is time to delete the Groupsite, no one in your Groupsite will be able to do that. You will need to contact us at Support to delete the Groupsite on your behalf. Currently, the only difference between a Creator/Manager and a Manager on our self-serve platform is the ability to delete the group.
Here is a link to an FAQ with instructions on assigning another manager in your place:

Please let me know if you need additional assistance.
Sincerely,
Celeste Sharper Wooten
