Populating the City/State in Profile List for Sub-Groups

We have multiple sub-groups under our Main Groupsite. When someone views a list of the sub-group member profiles, many do not have a city/state showing. In doing some investigating, it looks like the city/state pulls from the social profile not the professional profile, even if the social profile is set to Not Visible. Is that a default setting and could it be changed within our larger group site to pull from the professional profile? Thank you.

Hi Mark,
We may need to discuss this item from Support since I will need specific user name/email address information from you.
Here is what I can tell you. The personal profile address info and the professional profile address information are two different fields. Based on the profile that the user decides to show in the Groupsite, this will determine where your information comes from.
In addition, as a Groupsite Manager you can force it so that all of your users can only display the profile type that you designate. You can do this by:
1. Go to the "Manager" tab;
2. Then click on the "Group Settings" sub tab;
3. Scroll down to the "Profile Settings" area and click on the arrow;
4. You will see a "Profile Type" box, make sure that the type is on "Professional"; then check the box that says "
Default new members to this profile only"
5. Be sure to click "Save"
Also, address is not currently a required field in our system, so some users may not have completed this information. If you still need assistance, please write to support@groupsite.com with a specific user's name and email address where you feel the incorrect home/work address is being displayed.
