Searching a Member database

We have a Groupsite that is a larger public site populated with multiple private sites within it. When someone is approved for membership, they are immediately joined to the main group. At that point there is a manual process to assign them to one of the private groups defined by geographic boundaries. Is there a way to conduct a search of the Main Group roster to determine which members of the main group have not been assigned to one of the private groups yet? I come across one or two occasionally and realize that there must be more. Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
This is a discussion that is better discussed directly through
Support by sending your request to support@groupsite.com. Before
answering your question, I need to know a few things.
1. How do you determine your users' subgroup membership.
2. Is the direction you are seeking only for people who already
belong to the Groupsite, or are you also asking about pending/future
members?
Sincerely,

Hi Celeste and thanks for the response.
#1.I'm not sure I understand your question as to how we determine our user's subgroup membership. After they join or request membership, I accept their membership to the main group. After that, I assign them to different subgroups based on geographic location and they become dual members of both the main group as well as their sub-group.
#2. I'm only interested in double checking that someone who is already a member in the main Groupsite has also been assigned to the appropriate subgroup. My concern is that someone, or several, might have been accepted for membership for the main Groupsite, but then was not also assigned to the appropriate subgroup. If that is the case, that person is just sitting out there and not able to interact with those that they need to within the subgroup and I'm not clear yet as to how to find out who they might be. I appreciate any assistance you can offer. Talk with you soon.
