With Apple's release of the SDK yesterday is there any chance of CollectiveX mobile? That would rock so hard!

This would be cool, definitely.
I don't think it's on our current development plan, however, to have CollectiveX mobile. One thing I know would have to happen first is the new CollectiveX user-interface which is slated to go into development in less than a month.
Thanks. For the future (in case you don't already have it) here is a link to download the free SDK.
Any chance on a CX app for iPhone now? This would be great!
Brian - As a fellow iPhone user (as is the entire CollectiveX team - also all Mac users), I would love that. Unfortunately, it is standing in line behind the requests that fit squarely in our 90% target of addressing those features that 90% of our users will use 90% of the time.
When we have a moment to catch our breath, I am sure we will get on it and that will be a happy day.

Even just a mobile version of the site would be a good idea - especially if it is geared towards adding content on the run - e.g., I can add an event to the calendar when I first hear about it or perhaps in response to a conversation I am having - i.e., meet a new contact, add their training event to my calendar
Surely the iPhone has reached a critical mass now where it is worthwhile investing in developing for this platform? A native app must be within the development skills of Groupsite? Since the native iPhone version of Facebook came out i hardly use the desktop alternative anymore. I would suggest that a vast number of Groupsite users would find an iPhone app extremely useful, and i don't think you should view such a development as an 'add-on' feature anymore, but core functionality in today's mobile world. If (like with Facebook) people (me!) end up using the mobile version more than the desktop version, then it's no longer a case of if you should develop one, but why haven't you developed one! As Gareth alludes to above, there are a rapidly increasing number of people who have their whole lives on their phone (contacts, email, web, calendar etc), so catering for these people is important if you want more people to use the service more often. In fact, if I was to list my feature requests then the development of a mobile version would be number 1. That's because it would have the greatest impact on my productivity and use of the site. That's got to be a good thing for both Groupsite and its users.
I second that !
There have been a number of situations, where being able to invite a new member, by just launching a groupsite app and firing up my group and sending off an invitation would have been fantastic. We run events where non members and members both attend. Signing up someone via an app would be an awesome function as Grant suggests, more than an "add-on", it should be core functionality. If you are a groupsite manager and would like to be able to access core functionality from your phone, on-the-move, reply to this forum so we can genuinely see who would like this functionality.
Giving this thread a bump. Mainly because I saw that ning has a mobile version of their app (add /m to a site). It made me crave a Groupsite mobile app so much, since the ning one is "adequate" but I envision the Groupsite one being engaging/useful/addictive and driving traffic to my groupsite(s).
Bill - I put a call into Mark Andreeson asking if I can borrow some of the $150 million that they have raised so we could hire more developers to write an iPhone app but for some reason he didn't answer my call. The nerve!
I think you and the Monster boys ought to write it and we will take it to the market together.
Shaun
hah! Too funny. What's wrong with that guy anyway!
At this point I'd be more interested in a Groupsite app than a Monster one. Maybe in my free time I'll spec out thoughts on an experience for fun and see where it leads...
