Module options not available

I have noticed that the options that should be available on several modules are missing. For example, I want to add the Discussion Module, and select the "Most Recent" option. There are no options available. "Featured Discussion" is the only option and it requires me to select a specific topic.
I also tried to add the "This Group Consists Of" module and customize the three items displayed but there are no options, so I can only use the default setting.

I've also tried this using IE, Firefox (on both Mac & PC) and seen the same results.

Is this related to the problem I am having? I want to change the 3 items displayed under "THIS GROUP CONSISTS OF", but there no longer seems to be no way of doing this.
