Link in Recent Activity email

In my daily digest, at the top there is a section "Since your last update" that includes count of blog posts, new members, rsvps, new discussion posts. The numbers in that section are hyperlinked, but not sure what they are meant to do. For example, in the Champions email I got today, the 1 for new discussion posts is linked to "x-msg://1106/main/archive". This doesn't do anything that I can tell. The words "New Discussion Post" are linked to http://champions.groupsite.com/main/archive.
Is this how it is supposed to be working?

Hi Chris,
Clicking in that area of your Recent Activity update (where it shows the summary or total count for each category), will take you to the first page of the Recent Activity Module in your Groupsite where you can view all of the recent activity for your group.
If you scroll down to the specific item, such as a discussion post, and click on that item, you will go to that specific post etc. The total count takes you to the first page of the RA module, the specific event listed will take you to that actual post etc. in your group.
Sincerely,

What I'm saying is that in the email, the numbers at the top in the "since your last update" section are hyperlinked...but the link is to that x-mesg link, which doesn't seem to do anything.
Hi, Chris - In a recent activity update, I see "6 new Discussion Posts," for instance. There isn't a link for the actual number, but there is a link for the words "New Discussion Posts." Clicking this takes me to the summary of my Recent Activity Module, which might look something like http://champions.groupsite.com/main/archive. Once on the main/archive page, I can sort the recent activity module by type of activity (Discussion, Calendar, Blog, etc.).
I'm not able to generate any kind of "x-msg://1106/main/archive" link as you have mentioned.
I've made note that we should check to see/correct if those numbers in the actual Recent Activity Update email do appear to be hyperlinked (Ticket #10231983), but in terms of keeping the system simple and user friendly, I'm not sure what else I might expect should happen. I think clicking the number and the words should take me to the same landing page/view.
I'm open to feedback, though. Thoughts? Anyone else?
Agreed that the number and the words should be the same hyperlink..keep it simple...that is what caught my attention when I clicked the number and it didn't do anything, even though it was hyperlinked ... I can send you a copy if you want...
I see the same thing Chris is seeing:
For example, from the Feb 14th Champion email digest - "2 New Blog Posts":
1) the number "2" has this URL attached to it: http://main/archive
2) the text "New Blog Posts" has this URL attached to it:
http://champions.groupsite.com/main/archive
Here is a snapshot of email and the rendered HTML showing the number and the text being linked to 2 different URLs:
Just FYI - when I first saw the links under "Since your last update", I expected them to drop me down into the appropriate spot in the email, not that I would leave email and go to the site.
Also, items reported under "Since your last update" aren't necessarily listed in the email. It's confusing that the actual number and types of updates are provided, but only some of those items are actually listed in the email digest - you have to visit the site to view the full list.
Hi Chris and Cree Connect:
I will take another look at the issue you are describing with the links under "Since you last update". Regarding:
Also, items reported under "Since your last update" aren't necessarily listed in the email. It's confusing that the actual number and types of updates are provided, but only some of those items are actually listed in the email digest - you have to visit the site to view the full list.
Keep in mind that the "Since your last update" digest is different than the "RA Update Digest". For your RA Update digest, through your Email Preferences, you tell the system what types of recent activity notification you want to receive via Email. But when it comes to "Since your last update", this information or specific activity is captured in the RA Module of your Groupsite. Through this module, you can filter which activities you want to display in your group. What you display in your group via the RA Module, "Since My Last Update", can be different than what you select to receive as an Email update controlled by your Email Preferences.
I hope this information has not further confused you.

Hi Chris and Cree Connect:
It looks like the numbers are hyperlinked but do not have the host in the URL which breaks the link. This issue has already been fixed under ticket # 10231983. This fix will have to be deployed which we expect to occur at the end of the week on Thursday or Friday. We're sorry for the inconvenience!
