Weekly Updates not been sent from the Groupsite

Hello, I have setup a new groupsite and for some reason the weekly updates are not been sent. Infact, I'm not getting mails from the system when i open a new discussion and more recently i sent a mail blast which again has not been delivered.
Can someone please help here.
