Can uploaded files be downloaded automatically using RSS

Or if not RSS, some other system?
Our group regularly uploads files - songs in fact - for the rest of the group to learn.
Currently we have to listen to these songs online, or download them manually.
It would be fantastic if there is some means by which group members could subscribe so that these files are automatically downloaded, e.g. to iTunes.
Do we need some third party service here? If so where could we find one that is free and also secure - the songs are for our own use and not for general public download!
Grateful for any help here.
