Appearance of Invites

This may be something that only bugs me, but I don't care for the look of the RSVP Invites. A recent Invite I received showed the words from an emoticon the sender included, but not the emoticon itself. Does the Basic Editor actually control the look of text, etc. in an Invite? The invites I get have very small text by default. Is there a way to change it so it looks more like an email blast?

Something else I just remembered: Why is the text center justified? I see that the text is not any smaller than from an email blast, but perhaps it seems smaller, since it is black on a gray background?
Hi, Liza. Regarding if the text editor controls the way text appears in an invite, the answer is "yes" and "no." The text editor will let you format the text to be larger, colored, left aligned within the text area, etc. However, different email applications may render the HTML differently -- it's not always exactly "what you see is what you get."
I agree we may be able to improve the formatting of RSVP invites, including making them wider. Also, I did notice that the emoticons only appear as text, not the actual graphic. I'm not sure why that happens. Any ideas, anyone?
I note that even if the the text editor appears to let you align the text within the text area at the time the message is prepared, it will remain centered when the event blast is actually sent and received, irrespective of whether or not the author modified the alignment when writing the message.
This may create ugly results in many situations, especially when bullet lists are used within the event blast.
I have not paid attention to the other elements that should be customizable (text size, color, etc.) but the text alignment seems quite crucial to ensure a proper user experience.
Sent via Groupsite Mobile. Agreed. We have taken steps to "standardize" or control the recent activity digests formats but have not moved forward with other mail. Depending on your email client, what you receive can range from pretty good to well... not so good. We do plan to revisit this, just not sure when.
I am not sure that the problem regarding the lock on centered-text in RSVP invites depends on the mail client software used. I have experienced this problem with at least 3 mail client software that are fairly mainstream: MS Outlook (2003), GMail and Apple Mail. However, I understand that you have priorities and that not everything can be quickly fixed, and I appreciate your response, knowing that it should be on your radar at some point.
