What happened to the member search function?

I thought there had been the capability to search by name on the Manage Members page just recently, but now it's gone. Was I imagining things?
On a not-so-related note: I searched for a member on our site, and although I know she is on our site (and has been for over a year), the link to her profile does not turn up on the results of the search. Is it possible she was never...hmmm...what's the term? I can't think of it right now, but it was something I thought you guys did at your end when new members were added to the site, so that we can find them using the search function. Make any sense?

Hi Liza,
There is a new and improved search/filter on the manage members page. Click on the "Filter By" button and it will give you many options that you can search on such as name, email, bouncing email, status, joined, gender, last online. Once you fill in the appropriate information, don't forget to "submit" your filter.
Regarding, the other issue, try finding the member in question using this filter. If you still do not have success, send us the person's name or Email address into support@groupsite.com. We will take a look for you
Sincerely,
Celeste
Does this filter by Profile question as well ?
Hi Sanjay,
No, there are 9 Filter By categories from the manage members page:
Email, Email Bouncing, Gender, Joined, Last On Line, Name, Professional Status (i.e. Educator, Student, Entrepreneur,Homemaker, Retired etc.) Source (i.e. invited, requested, joined), Status (i.e. member, manager, suspend).

Does this mean that you do not plan on restoring the feature to type in a name and have it search for that person in particular? I found that so helpful and now I have to go through pages of lists (even after I apply a filter) to find out if someone is a member since I don't know when they joined.
Sue
Sue, it's not obvious, but a search box pops up once you submit a filter. I liked it the old way, too. :) Right now, it's an extra step.
Oh thanks Liza. I don't know how I missed that. OK, I like the new filters.
Thanks for helping Sue Liza.
