Background on Summary Page

I have an option to upload a background image on my Summary Page and can do that however it is hidden behind the modules. The whole page is white in front of it making the background,..well,..useless.
Is there a way to make the Summary Page and/or Modules on it transparent enough to see the Background image?
Thank you for any help or advice you may have.
